The Yale-New Haven Hospital Department of Rehabilitation Services is committed to providing the highest quality of occupational therapy, physical therapy and pediatric speech-language pathology services in settings that are clinically efficacious, cost effective, and sensitive to the needs of patients and families. These services are designed to maximize our patients' functional capabilities as part of a broader collaborative effort to meet their health care needs across a full continuum of care.

Every member of our team enjoys a comprehensive orientation tailored to meet his or her individual needs. Upon completion, team members become active participants in delivering care in a wide variety of clinical settings, including:

  • Orthopedics
  • Trauma
  • Pediatrics/Neonatal
  • Medicine
  • Neurology/Neurosurgery
  • Cardiology/CT Surgery
  • Outpatient
  • Outpatient Clinics
  • Rounds and Patient/Family Meetings

Yale-New Haven Hospital's commitment to education and research plays an active role in the careers of Rehabilitation Services professionals. Through our clinical affiliation with rehabilitation programs throughout Connecticut, our therapists enjoy the opportunity to serve as instructors to affiliating students and/or as adjunct faculty members. They are also able to participate in innovative research projects through our longstanding affiliation with the Yale University School of Medicine.

Our commitment to the ongoing education and professional development of our team members includes:
